Vice President Meriton extends condolences to Japan
Upon learning of the passing of the Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Mr. Yukiya Amano, Vice President Vincent Meriton in his capacity as Minister of Foreign Affairs, sent a message of condolence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Japan, H.E. Mr. Taro Kono.
In his message, the Vice President stated “Mr. Amano was a true advocate for the peaceful and wise use of atomic energy in the world across all fields. As representative of Japan on the international arena, he will be remembered and memoralised as a man dedicated to making the world a better place for all who inhabit it.”
